As its name suggests, the Transitional Kitchen Design merges elements and ideas from both Traditional and Modern Designs. Old and new features can be mixed with artificial and natural surfaces to create a unique style. There is wide range of available options and a chance to personalize your kitchen with no guidelines!
CABINETRY AND FLOORING
Cabinets are usually characterized by being somewhat simplistic with additional designs that mimic the Traditional Kitchen Design. Floors can be made of natural materials or manufactured (tiles, laminate, etc).
CENTER ISLAND
With cabinets on one side and seating (stools) on the other, a center island can serve as an additional workspace, as well as a bar.
COUNTERS AND BACKSPLASH
Natural materials such as granite and marble are most frequently used for the counters. It is suggested that backsplashes be made of the same or similar materials to ensure consistency.
APPLIANCES
It is highly recommended that large appliances such as the refrigerator , stove, and dishwasher be made of stainless steel.
